International Women's Day- Tuesday 8th March

This post isn't the one I originally intended today, but when I saw the following item I just had to post it.

This short film with Judi Dench and Daniel Craig has been made by artist and director Sam Taylor-Wood and commissioned by a coalition of charities who campaign on equality issues.  It is produced by Barbara Broccoli- the producer of the 007 Bond films.

You can find more information and details of what events are taking place around the world at: http://www.internationalwomensday.com/

Interesting.

How many generations will it take for that observation to become obselete?

Until men are able to give birth we will never be equal. The greatest gift, the biggest burden.

I fear those observations will never become obsolete Baggy, but we can only work toward trying to change some of them.

Very efective film. In the UK, while things aren't perfect there are laws to protect women and theoretically we are treated equally at work and in other situations - that's not the case in other parts of the world.

Women are theoretically better treated in the UK,I agree, but there are still many who suffer and grey areas where the law still fails to protect some women.
