My OH decided to do the redecorating in my office area this week- rather than next year- so I've taken advantage to move my chair position, add a second bookcase (it was on the upstairs landing) to replace an old half-size one that was bowing under the weight of stationery, filing and other useful bits and pieces.
This is my new walls.
My new wallpaper... |
It does make my office area brighter and will make a good backing for the framed pictures that need to be replaced.
I just need new curtains or a blind to match...

Very nice Carol, it's going to be lovely, I hope you'll post some images when you've done it all!
Sounds like your husband has worked very hard.
Thanks Maria. It's brighter and I'm eager to sit down at my computer each day now.
My husband has worked very hard getting everything done without too much delay. It's just the sorting out and reorganising now, as there were things in my office area that belong in the living room so I can now move them there. :-)
Love that wallpaper, Carol! I'm sure you'll enjoy reorganising your writing life now that you space and time.
Thanks Rosemary. Even though it's only been up a couple of days it looks good in the evening as well as in the daytime.
Having everything where I need it will save me a lot of (previously) wasted writing time searching for a particular book or image to check something.
I love the wallpaper, Carol, I bet you'll enjoy your new writing space.
Thanks Teresa. It's made a big difference to the space by shifting the furniture around and moving my chair position so I'm not directly facing the window. :-)
Looks good, Carol. I don't have wallpaper - just rejection letters.
Thanks Keith. Rejection letters could decorate the world! :D
Love that wallpaper! I’ve moved from child duties to grandchild duties over the summer hols.
Wendy- thank you. September return to school soon comes round again, but I'm sure you've enjoyed having your grandchild with you. :-)
