Progress on the Home Front...

The decorating is done (for now) and the new flooring is down in the living room, so I'm slowly working my way through the books that need sorting, dusting and shelving.

They're going back in order- well my personal order...

Meanwhile I've booked to go to the RNA (Romantic Novelists Association) Conference in July, whilst I leave the family at home. I'm really looking forward to spending time learning and socialising with other writers- many I know from online.

My other decision is my aim to launch my current wip sometime in June 2019. I have a year to do it... (Imagine scared face with hair sticking up in spikes!)

The hero and heroine of the next story have been reminding me they've been patiently waiting for me to solve their antagonist issue; I think I know how to solve that problem, but that's for later...

After all the times you've heard about the stuff going on in the background, I thought showing you what the wallpaper looks like, now it's done, was reasonable. :-)

My favourite- the hallway...

Going up the stairs...

I just have to find a suitable light shade for the hall light now...

Looks lovely, Carol - but sounds as though your work is far from over!

Great to see everything coming together for you, Carol, and I wish you all the best with your novel. So sorry I won't get to meet you this year!

I love the wallpaper, Carol. It's lovely and fresh! It's a great idea to plan ahead for this time next year. I had to laugh at the image of you with your hair up in spikes and scared face though :-)

When we had a new living-room carpet, I had to move all my books. I had such fun bringing them all back in the right order. I often think I should have been a librarian.

Helen- yes there's still a lot to do. Like many older houses lots of things all need doing at the same time.

Rosemary- thank you. I'm sorry I won't see you at the Conference this year, but hope to meet you on another occasion.x

Teresa- thanks, it's amazing what a difference certain wallpapers can make. My husband has worked very hard over the last couple of months.

I missed out the nail biting! :D

Julia- that it what's taking me so long to put the books back, beside giving them the paintbrush duster treatment, it's reorganising them so I can find the books I want easily.

I did actually work in a civil service library for a few years. :-)
