I do keep a ...I'm much more hopeful, Rosemary.<br /><br />I do keep a lot of the plot and characters in my head, but find that it makes it difficult to recognise why a character isn't working, or doing something out of character. I find writing my character profiles down helps me develop the individual- as well as clear my mind. I start writing having to remind myself that X is the one who does that and Y does this and then I find I know them.
